Hire a gear manager
A manager is a local who takes your gear, meets the renters, does every hand-off and return, and answers their questions — for a cut of each rental. You still set the price, the deposit and the days you want it yourself; you get a text at every step and your share at each hand-off. One manager runs all of your gear. Offer a cut (most work around 50/50), they accept or counter, you hand over the gear, and that’s it.
